The making of Gambit a 48hour film (2016)
Our team has 2 days to write/create, film and edit a short film! We don’t choose the genre at all, that’s the fun in it, it’s random & a true test of skill! We are The Four Horsemen!

When we all come together we create an unstoppable force!
My Role
I was the AD (Assistant Director) working hand and hand with Director, Jacob Mendez and the rest of the cast and crew, we came together to make this happen. I gave my input and helped control things on set as well as helped over saw the entire process from start to finish.
The elements
The things all movies this year were required to incorporate into them in some kind of way. There were very specific ways in which these had to be used. Improper use of the elements result in your team’s disqualification!
Our Genre Pull
We got Silent Film or War/Anti-War or you have the option to mix both!
Needless to say we went with War/Anti-War…
How It Went Down
We stayed up all night making scripts, roles ect…
and filmed all day!!!
We met the deadline and after a few weeks our filmed aired on Premiere Night and judging begun!
Did We Win?
The Award Ceremony at the Orchid: We didn’t take it all,but we didn’t walk away empty handed, we won “The Best of our Genre Award!”
It was an honor to work with these amazing people! Congratulations to all other teams in the 48,this was not easy. We’ll see you back next year!
